Open a STEP file
in Tinkercad.

Updated 2026-10-01

Tinkercad cannot open STEP files: it imports only STL and OBJ for 3D. Convert it to STL below, then open the .stl in Tinkercad. Tinkercad brings the STL in as one solid shape; it cannot be ungrouped back into parts.

What Tinkercad can import was checked against its own documentation: Tinkercad supported formats. Software changes; if a newer release imports STEP directly, use that.
