When you choose In your browser, STEP and BREP files are read and written by Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT 8.0.1), compiled to WebAssembly by our build of occt-wasm 5.6.0 (v5.6.0-mw.1, which adds editing functions to its wrapper and leaves OCCT unmodified), and served from this site as a separate file. It is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 with the Open CASCADE Exception 1.0: licence text, exception. Source: the exact OCCT source (OCCT 8.0.1 with the two fixes occt-wasm applies; OCCT upstream) and the build script for this exact version. You may replace that component with your own build.
You retain all right, title and interest in every file you upload and every file this tool produces from it. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce and process the file on our own servers solely for the purpose of providing the conversion or generation you request and, when you are signed in, of keeping the file and what was converted from it in your files for you until you delete them. This license ends when the file is deleted under our retention rules. Your files are never sublicensed or transmitted to any third party. You represent that you own the files you upload or have the rights needed to process them, and that keeping a copy of your originals is your responsibility.
MeshWeave has designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement under 17 U.S.C. §512(c). The designation is registered with the United States Copyright Office under registration number DMCA-1079890, and the agent's full contact details — including a postal address and telephone number — are published in the Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory at dmca.copyright.gov.
Designated agent: DMCA Agent, MeshWeave — dmca@meshweave.app
Send notices containing the elements listed in §512(c)(3) to dmca@meshweave.app. Counter-notifications under §512(g)(3) go to the same address. A postal address and telephone number are available on request. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
The service and its outputs are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Converted geometry can differ from the source — mesh outputs are tessellations, and surfaces recovered from a mesh are fitted to that mesh, so they are only as accurate as the mesh and carry no design intent. A part saved for an older SolidWorks release is one imported body with no feature tree; check that it opens in that release before relying on it. You are responsible for verifying any output before using it for manufacturing, simulation, or any load-bearing or safety-relevant application. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Don’t upload files you have no right to process, don’t attempt to disrupt the service or other users’ jobs, and don’t resell raw access to the conversion endpoints without an API agreement.
Which law applies depends on where you are, so that neither of us is dragged across the world over a $7 subscription:
Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country you live in, and nothing prevents either of us from seeking urgent interim relief in any court that has jurisdiction.
