Open a SLDPRT file
in PrusaSlicer.

Updated 2026-10-01

PrusaSlicer cannot open SLDPRT files: SOLIDWORKS parts are not among the formats it imports. Convert it to 3MF below, then open the .3mf in PrusaSlicer. PrusaSlicer reads 3MF as its preferred format, with units and objects intact, ready to slice.

What PrusaSlicer can import was checked against its own documentation: PrusaSlicer supported formats. Software changes; if a newer release imports SLDPRT directly, use that.

Questions3 answered
Can PrusaSlicer open SLDPRT files?
PrusaSlicer cannot open SLDPRT files: SOLIDWORKS parts are not among the formats it imports. Checked against PrusaSlicer's own documentation on 2026-10-01.
Why 3MF?
PrusaSlicer reads 3MF, and 3MF records units and separate objects, so the part arrives at the right size. It is a mesh, which is what PrusaSlicer works with anyway.
Is the conversion free?
Yes. Without an account, 5 conversions a day are free, with no card and nothing to install.
